Sunday Morning Service, 11am (in-person or zoom)

The Episcopal Church has a strong commitment to inclusion, and here at St. Philip’s we take that commitment seriously.  We believe that everyone should feel safe and welcome in God’s house; and so we will do our best to make you glad you chose to join us.

In Person Information

Our liturgical style of worship is very participatory.  We have many customs and traditions, but at the heart of them all is the belief that it takes all of us to make church happen.  In our worship bulletin, we provide instructions along the way, so that you can more easily follow the service.  However, even among those of us who are Episcopalian, you will see a wide variety of worship styles.  We celebrate that diversity.  Throughout the service, feel free to worship with us as you are able and most comfortable.  Children are always welcome in our services, and any style of dress is just fine.  We celebrate the Eucharist most Sundays, and it is open to all baptized Christians.  If you are not a Christian or would prefer not to receive Communion, you are invited to come to our altar to pray or meditate.  It is also acceptable for anyone to choose to pray or meditate in their seat during Communion.

Zoom Information

We learned to worship together via Zoom during the pandemic; and we love the way it makes it possible to visit with members of our community who live far away or can’t get out easily.  Our Zoom host will join you from the sanctuary at 10:45am in order to chat and also answer any questions about moving through the liturgy for those who are new to this. You will be able to interact with our gathered congregation if you choose and your host will be monitoring the chat.  It is also fine for you to turn off your camera and simply watch if you prefer.

If you would like to join us by Zoom and are not already a user, you will need to download Zoom and set up an account.  It’s free!  Here is the link to download Zoom.

Once you’ve joined Zoom, you can use this link to join the meeting on Sunday.
